Our certificates
Certificate is a product safety guarantee for consumer's health and for environvment. Observing the laws of its product markets Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide regularly conducts procedures of obligatory and voluntary product certification.
They include:
CE
CE (Conformité Européenne / European conformity) is a marking which is placed on a product and which certifies that the it conforms to major requirements of European Union directives and harmonized standards and that product has gone through a procedure of conformity evaluation to mentioned directives.
CE marking indicates that a product is not harmful for health of users and that it does not harm natural environment. Product that does not meet these requirements is not allowed to enter internal market of EU. “CE” Marking is the only marking in European Union countries proving product’s conformity to European standards of safety for man, property and environment.

RoHS
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) is a directive acting since the 1-st of July 2006 on the territory of European Union and limiting the content of certain potentially dangerous for human health and environment substances in electrotechnic and electronic equipment and also the use of some of these substances in manufacturing processes.
The mentioned substances include the following:
- Lead
- Mercury
- Cadmium
- Hexavalent chromium (chromium IV or Cr6+)
- Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
In contrast to some others that have advisory nature, RoHS directive strictly regulates acceptable concentrations of mentioned substances. Additionally RoHS directive spreads its action on the manufacturers of electronic and electric equipment from outside the EU if their products are meant for shipments on the territory of EU. At present RoHS directive is included in the CE (CE marking on the product automatically means that it conforms to RoHS directive).

REACH
REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry. It also promotes alternative methods for the hazard assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of tests on animals.
In principle, REACH applies to all chemical substances; not only those used in industrial processes but also in our day-to-day lives, for example in cleaning products, paints as well as in articles such as clothes, furniture and electrical appliances. Therefore, the regulation has an impact on most companies across the EU.
REACH places the burden of proof on companies. To comply with the regulation, companies must identify and manage the risks linked to the substances they manufacture and market in the EU.REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It entered into force on 1 June 2007.

SB Scheme
SB Scheme is an international system for acknowledgement of test reports concerning the safety of electric and electronic products. It is a multiparty agreement between participating sides and organizations that conduct certification. Manufacturer which uses Certificate or Test report SB issued by one of these organizations can obtain a national certificate for products in all other country members of SB Scheme.
Major goal of SB scheme is to facilitate world commerce by assisting harmonization of national standards with international and by widening collaboration between certification structures in the whole world. SB Scheme strives to bring the manufacturer closer to ideal concept “one product, one test, one certificate”.
SB certificate is an official document of SB Scheme, it is issued by an authorized national certification body (NCB) in order to inform other NCBs that tested sample meets all the requirements of international standards.

PAH, AZO, фталаты
A range of product nomenclature tested for content of dangerous substances, including PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), AZO (nitrogen-bearing substances), phthalates (salts and ethers of phthalic acid).
Laser safety
Most of new Yukon NV devices are equipped with integrated laser IR Illuminators. As compared to IR Illuminators using LED diodes, laser Illuminators are more effective (provide greater viewing range and quality IR spot) and less power-consuming.
All PULSAR laser IR illuminators (integrated and detachable) are tested by authorized European laboratories for meeting Class 1 requirements of laser safety according to IEC 60825 standard (first class of laser safety includes lasers and laser systems that are not able to produce hazardous for human eye level of radiation; radiation of class 1 systems is not hazardous even during long-term direct observation with naked eye).
IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) international non-profit organization for standardization in the fields of electric, electronic and relative technologies.
Company products that have integrated laser IR illuminator and that are shipped to the USA are tested for meeting the requirements of U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
