“Expocaça” is one of the largest events on the Iberian Peninsula dedicated to guns, hunting and active recreation. With the first show dating back to 1989, the Exhibition celebrated its 25 anniversary this year. Originally it was an outdoor exhibition in the suburbs of Lisbon, but in the 90s it was moved to a small town of Santarém, favourably located between the largest Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Porto close to the highway connecting Northern and Southern Portugal.
In 2013 the exposition was located in two halls of the National Exhibition Centre, part of booths being situated outdoors.
Optical devices of our company were presented at the booths of our official distributors in Portugal - Altamira (TM Pulsar) and Cacicambra (TM Yukon) and their partners.
The company Altamira showed to the numerous visitors Pulsar day and night optics for hunting including Quantum thermal imaging devices, Digisight N750 and N770 digital riflescopes, Sentinel GS night vision riflescopes, Challenger GS 2.7x50, 4.5x60, G2+ 2x42 night vision monoculars, binoculars Expert VMR 8x40 and Expert LRF 8x40 (with built-in rangefinder), Edge GS 2.7x50 NV binoculars, Recon 750R recording digital monocular, and Pulsar IR laser illuminators.
Similar to other European exhibitions this year, the new front digital attachment Forward DFA75 was a point of particular interest. Quality image, easy and quick mounting and removal from a day sight – these are the features visitors liked most.
The booth of the company Cacicambra (distributor for Yukon trademark) located at the main entrance, was one of the largest in terms of area size. Along with production units, the distributor announced the new products for 2013. Most noticeable to mention are: the digital NV riflescope Photon featuring a gun mounting procedure well known by hunters (regular 30 mm rings for day optics are used), the digital recording monocular Stringer 5x50 (as compared to devices with similar functionality, it features low power consumption and easy use), binoculars of the Point series.
The distributors held the exhibition on a high level. They have not only presented company’s optical units in the proper way but also created favorable conditions for our technical specialists working at the booth.
